about

"Our commitment to giving El Pasoans the highest quality possible has only intensified. We’re just getting started."

- RANDY BOWLING, PRESIDENT

Tropicana Homes is the largest and most trusted homebuilder in El Paso. After 70 years, that’s something we are very proud of. Four times, we have been awarded “Builder of the Year” by the El Paso Association of Builders; in 2009, we were named “Texas Developer of the Year” and “Builder of the Year” in 2003, 2013 and 2015 by the Texas Association of Builders. In their Best of 2012 list, The City Magazine had Tropicana earning the honor of Best Homebuilder. Led by three generations of the Bowling family, it has been our privilege to build over 10,000 homes in this city.

Even after all this time, building our relationship with the El Paso community continues to be our dearest project. Tropicana was born here– founded on diligence, attention to detail, and an enthusiastic dedication to the people who own keys to our homes. We are thrilled to announce that mission is taking us to new and exciting places.

You might have noticed we have a new look! We’re very excited about it, because for us, it only represents a renewed commitment to being the best at what we do. We are constantly seeking and implementing new ways to improve the energy efficiency of our products, minimizing our environmental footprint and protecting your investment. Just as we refuse to compromise our workmanship, we refuse to be limited by convention–it is our hope that all our new homes reflect our interest in details and our desire to make the lifestyle you want affordable.

Thanks for 70 years, El Paso. Let’s break new ground together.

Our History

"El Paso is one of the greatest places to live and raise a family. With Tropicana, we prove that every day."

- RANDY BOWLING, PRESIDENT

The Bowling family has been responsible for some 10,000 homes, as well as apartments and parks in El Paso since 1950. Through three generations, the Bowlings have been integral in the growth and development of the El Paso community, making their name by taking leadership positions in real estate and property development trade organizations and making Tropicana one of the most reputable names in El Paso. Their efforts have made the Star that overlooks the city glow that much brighter.

The goal of Tropicana was to be not the cheapest, not the biggest, but the best. Randy Bowling, husband and father of three and now President of Tropicana Homes, continues to affirm the values the company was founded on: “Our family takes great pride in helping the families of El Paso achieve the American dream of homeownership–especially those young, hard-working families purchasing their first home.”
