Tropicana Properties Announces Scholarship Award to Exceptional Student

Tropicana Properties, a leading locally owned apartment management company in El Paso, is proud to announce the recipient of its annual scholarship program. This year, Isaiah Meza, a dedicated and accomplished student, has been selected for the annual award.
The $60,000 scholarship, which is awarded to Tropicana Properties residents, aims to support and empower promising students pursuing technical degrees in fields including welding and HVAC maintenance and repair. Isaiah Meza demonstrated a dedication to his studies and strong desire to participate in the program. These qualities align perfectly with Tropicana Properties’ values and commitment to fostering excellence.
Isaiah Meza, the recipient, has lived at Burgundy Palms for 4 years and graduated from Del Valle High School in June 2023. His brother, Joseph Meza, was the first recipient of this scholarship in 2022. Isaiah’s goal with this scholarship is to receive his welding certification from Western Tech- which has been his dream since his freshman year of high school.
As an apartment management company, Tropicana knows firsthand the importance of having skilled individuals that can maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the units on their properties. The scholarships are offered to help educate the community and address the shortage of skilled technicians in the industry, while also providing opportunities to residents to pursue careers as a pathway to self-sustainability and personal success. The scholarships include full certifications in areas including Advanced Welding Technology and Refrigeration, Mechanical Certification & HVAC Technology.
To qualify for these scholarships, Tropicana Properties residents are required to submit an online application, 2 letters of recommendation and a 300-word essay. The dates for the upcoming 2024 scholarship submission deadlines will be announced at the Tropicana Properties website soon at www.tropicanaproperties.org
