2018 Real Texas Builder Awards

The El Paso Association of Builders recently celebrated their Real Texas Builder Awards. The association is affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders and the Texas Association of Builders. Tropicana Homes and Tropicana Properties were the big winners. With 11 real estate award wins, more than any other builder, we edged out the competition in media, sales, and design. The awards were recently featured in the El Paso Times. View the article here.

Media

Tropicana took home the prize for media, both electronic and traditional. Our crisp, graphic print ad campaign and brochures were recognized for excellence. So was our electronic media ad. We also received accolades for our clean, high-resolution website. It’s easy to navigate, informative, and nice to look at. Our front elevation drawings are a classic and contemporary way to showcase floorplans.

Sales

Carla Smith won the award for best salesperson for her work in the Tres Sueños subdivision in East El Paso. Her warm rapport with clients and a sharp eye for the right fit makes Carla stand out. The Realtor of the Year award went to our very own Mollie Stopani. Professional and hardworking, Mollie goes the extra mile for her customers. Mollie works primarily in La Puesta del Sol in West El Paso, a prime location near the Outlet Shoppes and new West Towne Marketplace with plenty of biking, hiking, and parks. Design

As builders with a commitment to quality, the best awards to win are the ones that speak to that. Tropicana won the award for Best Volume Home Builder. For Tropicana Properties, we also collected a handful of design awards for our Dyer Palms property in Northeast El Paso, including Best Architectural Design, Community Space Design, Urban Multi-Family Design, and best Community Club House.

History of Accolades

This year was a banner year for awards, but Tropicana Homes has a history of achievement. With a steady habit of winning Builder of the Year from more than one building association, and even Texas Developer of the Year in 2009. We pride ourselves on our relationship to the El Paso community. We’ve also been on The City Magazine’s Best Of list as the Best Homebuilder of 2012.
